The FRAGMENT One of the most important steps in Google Tag Manager is creating a container snippet. This is a kind of umbrella code that must be implemented on the website. When you connect to software such as Google Analytics this is implemented directly from Google Tag Manager into the container. A container is a repository for tags triggers and variables in Google Tag Manager.
Click Create Container and fill in the requested Phone Number List information such as the name of the container and the URL of the website where you want to deploy tags. In principle the container must be placed on every page of your website. However when you use software like Wordpress there are many plugins that can help you with this. If you do not use Wordpress you can manually add it to the code or hire a developer. STEP COPY THE CODE FOR THE CONTAINER After you have created the container a popup window will appear with the container code. Copy the code and paste it immediately before the closing headtag on every page of your website. This ensures that the container is loaded correctly.
STEP CREATE TAGS In addition to the container we need tags in Google Tag Manager. The tags ensure that the website can be read by a third party for example Google Analytics. when it is triggered. STEP ENABLE TRIGGERS The tags need to be triggered and this can be done in many ways. At Brainpink we use the following triggers most often Page views when certain pages are opened Clicks when certain elements on the website are clicked Send forms if forms are sent Timers When a certain time interval passes Custom Events This is used in advanced situations STEP TEST AND PUBLISH Once you have created the desired container tags and triggers it is time to test your new settings. You can first do this by going into debug mode . Does everything work as it should.
